He has been displaying different types of aircraft since 2007, and is part owner of a specialist aerobatic school in Brisbane, Australia. Over the years, he has flown at some of Australia's biggest airshows, as well as airshows internationally.

David SpongDisplay PilotDave Spong, more commonly known as Spongo, has been flying for more years than he cares to remember! He began flying whilst at boarding school and went on to fly fast jets in the RAAF including the famous F-111, before flying the Boeing 747 and Airbus A330 and A340 for Cathay Pacific. After retiring from Cathay, he instructed in the CT-4B in Tamworth for 16 years.
